Young WI in London

In the East End of London, there is a small collective of young women who meet up for their weekly WI meeting. Dusting off the stigma of the WI as a group of old ladies in villages making jam and stripping off for calendars, these women are in their 20s and 30s and are making jam cool.
The East End has become notorious in recent years for hosting the Burlesque scene, and this is all a part of it. Evenings of Burlesque teaching and hair and make-up tips, with cups of tea and martinis, is the new girly night out.
